Without volunteers, there would be no LAND!

Elected position. LAND is always looking for individuals willing to help advance the profession of nutrition and dietetics and serve the membership. Positions for volunteerism include (linked in title are position descriptions):

  • President-Elect: Elected position. 2 year term. Time commitment is about 2-3 hours a month.
  • Delegate: Elected position. 3 year term. Attend HOD sessions for the Academy. Time commitment is about 1-2 hours a month. 
  • Secretary: Elected position.2 year term. About 1 hour a month to take minutes during Board meetings. Reports and agenda collected by Executive Director.
  • Professional Development Chair: Elected position. 2 year term. Time commitment is about 1-2 hours a month.  This chair helps to review speaker proposals and build the annual meeting with a committee of your peers and support from the Executive Director.
  • Diet Manual Editor: This position is a 5 year term to work on the next edition of the Diet Manual.
